In spite of recent efforts to promote gender equality in the workplace, women continue to find it hard to balance work and family. Many women think that they have to be the best of everything. Being the best mother, the best employee, the best partner, and the best homemaker is unrealistic. They seem to leave no time for looking after themselves. It is also harder for them to get ahead in their careers. A lack of work-life balance can cause women a lot of stress because they are trying to achieve at work as well as in other areas of their life, and this can affect their health and relationships. Poor balance between work and personal life also hurts the employees who may lose interest and leave their jobs quickly.
