My dream of becoming a doctor has formed in me since I was a child when my mother took me to hospital to visit my grandfather who had just suffered a heart attack. Looking at my grandfather’s face distorted by the pain, I felt sorry for him and at that very moment I decided to be a doctor. As I progressed in school and maturity, my interests evolved into the people-oriented aspects of medicine. In retrospect, this interest in people was manifested in many of my extracurricular activities whose central theme was helping people of all ages undergoing heart disease. During my experience at the SOS Hospital, I gained profound insight into the healing relationship between patient and doctor and perceived the euphoria when seeing my efforts had worked out. Now, I’m trying my best to accumulate and improve my medical knowledge, experiences to become a devoted doctor later.
