In Vietnam, it is very common for parents to send their children to private lessons after school. Many parents believe that these extra classes help their children achieve better academic results. However, others argue that children should have more time for fun and relaxation. Personally, I think a balance between the two is the best solution, but if I had to choose, I would support giving children more free time.

To begin with, private lessons can indeed improve students’ knowledge and performance. Teachers in these classes often explain difficult points more carefully, and students have more opportunities to ask questions. For those who are preparing for important exams, private tutoring can be a valuable support.

On the other hand, too many extra lessons may create unnecessary pressure. Children already spend many hours in school every day, and attending private classes in the evening can make them exhausted. They also need time to relax, play sports, or develop hobbies such as music or art. These activities are not only enjoyable but also important for their mental health and social skills. Without enough rest, children may even lose motivation to study.

In my opinion, while private lessons can be useful, they should not take up all of a child’s free time. Parents should consider their children’s individual needs and create a schedule that allows both effective learning and relaxation. Only then can children grow up in a healthy and balanced way.

Ở Việt Nam, việc phụ huynh cho con em mình đi học thêm sau giờ học rất phổ biến. Nhiều phụ huynh tin rằng những lớp học thêm này giúp con em họ đạt được kết quả học tập tốt hơn. Tuy nhiên, một số khác lại cho rằng trẻ em nên có nhiều thời gian hơn cho vui chơi và thư giãn. Cá nhân tôi nghĩ rằng cân bằng giữa hai điều này là giải pháp tốt nhất, nhưng nếu phải lựa chọn, tôi sẽ ủng hộ việc cho trẻ em nhiều thời gian rảnh hơn.

Trước hết, học thêm thực sự có thể cải thiện kiến thức và kết quả học tập của học sinh. Giáo viên trong các lớp học này thường giải thích những điểm khó một cách chi tiết hơn, và học sinh có nhiều cơ hội hơn để đặt câu hỏi. Đối với những học sinh đang chuẩn bị cho các kỳ thi quan trọng, học thêm có thể là một sự hỗ trợ quý giá.

Mặt khác, quá nhiều lớp học thêm có thể tạo ra áp lực không cần thiết. Trẻ em đã dành nhiều giờ ở trường mỗi ngày, và việc học thêm vào buổi tối có thể khiến các em kiệt sức. Các em cũng cần thời gian để thư giãn, chơi thể thao hoặc phát triển các sở thích như âm nhạc hoặc nghệ thuật. Những hoạt động này không chỉ thú vị mà còn quan trọng cho sức khỏe tinh thần và kỹ năng xã hội của các em. Nếu không được nghỉ ngơi đầy đủ, trẻ em thậm chí có thể mất động lực học tập.

Theo tôi, mặc dù các lớp học riêng có thể hữu ích, nhưng chúng không nên chiếm hết thời gian rảnh rỗi của trẻ. Cha mẹ nên cân nhắc nhu cầu cá nhân của con và tạo ra một lịch trình vừa học tập hiệu quả vừa thư giãn. Chỉ khi đó, trẻ mới có thể phát triển một cách lành mạnh và cân bằng.
