Read the following passage and choose the correct answer to each of the following questions.
In Sweden, people are working to reduce waste and create a circular economy. They focus on using things in a sustainable way, stopping waste, reusing items, and fixing things when they’re broken. The country has made rules and taught people about waste to help them understand its importance. Thanks to these efforts, very little of the garbage from homes goes to big holes in the ground, called landfills.
One way Sweden helps the environment is by using a special system. When people buy drinks in plastic bottles or cans, they pay a small extra amount. When they give the bottles and cans back, they get that money back.
There’s a place in southern Sweden that’s special too. It’s called Siptex, and there they sort lots of old clothes so they can be used again. This is a good way to help the planet.
Lastly, in Sweden, they’re careful with their food waste. They put it in special bags and then it’s turned into useful things like gas for cars and natural fertiliser for farms. This is a smart way to make less waste and help the Earth.
