Let’s Visit: Portugal
Portugal is one of Europe’s favorite vacation spots. We are going to look at some of its best sightseeing spots to see why tourists love it so much.
1. The kings and queens of Portugal once lived in the University of Coimbra, and it’s beautiful! It’s one of the oldest universities in Europe and is a World Heritage Site. Tickets are 10 euros or 20 euros if you want a tour guide. After looking around the rest of the university, visitors can climb the clock tower and enjoy a fantastic view over the city of Coimbra.
2. The Gerês mountain range is in the Penada-Gerês National Park. It is famous for its high mountains, beautiful lakes, and wildlife. Visitors can see different animals, including wolves and eagles. The park is very popular for hiking.
3. The Lisbon Oceanarium is a very large aquarium. There are four areas which have fish form the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, and Antarctic oceans. Outside the aquarium, visitors can see many sea birds and mammals.
