Read the following passage and choose the best answer to each of the following questions.
The COVID-19 pandemic has led to the application of new things, including online learning. Educational institutions worldwide have included online learning courses into their education strategies so as to ensure an uninterrupted learning for students. Like other teaching methods, online learning possesses its own set of pros and cons.
On the one hand, considerable advantages are brought back by online learning. Firstly, it offers teachers an efficient way to deliver lessons to students thanks to a number of diversified tools such as videos, PDFs, podcasts, etc. Another advantage is that students are allowed to attend online classes wherever they are and access the learning materials at their convenient time. Last but not least, online learning can reduce financial costs because it eliminates the costs of transportation, accommodation, meals, and printed materials.
On the other hand, online learning also has several disadvantages. One of the biggest disadvantages is that students can be easily distracted by social media or other sites while learning online. Moreover, online classes will be interrupted if the internet connection for students or teachers is not consistent. Finally, students’ health is also an unavoidable concern. Spending too many hours staring at a screen can hurt their eyes and cause bad postures as well as other physical problems.
