Read the following passage, then choose the correct answer.
After a long day outside, you want to come home to do all the things you like, not the housework. In the near future you may not have to do all this work thanks to new technology. Imagine walking into your house and finding that the lights, the heating and even the radio are already turned on. They are all given the command by your car!
In a very short time, all household appliances will have a chip that will allow them to "talk" to other appliances and be connected to the Internet so that they can be controlled from anywhere. Do you forget to turn off your microwave oven? Let your cell phone do that. Your refrigerator is always full of essential food items because it sends the store a message when you run out of something. This way, technology will change our lives in the next 15 years or so. But, what will happen if we become so dependent on technology? One thing is clear: every step into the future must be taken carefully.
