OUR GREAT OCEAN ROAD ADVENTURE
My family and I went to Australia to see my grandparents last year. (1).
Dad had intended to drive, but even though he was used to driving miles without getting exhausted, he then read on the website that the road wouldn't be an easy drive, with a number of sharp bends. (2).
Our first stop was where wild kangaroos lived, and Dad and I were taking a walk when a big one appeared! For a moment, it seemed to consider coming towards us, which made me slightly nervous, but then it went off into the bushes. (3).
That wasn't the only wildlife we saw. I thought it’d be hard to see Australia's famous koala bears during our short visit, as I'd heard they were rare, but we weren't disappointed at our next stop. (4). We just followed the tourists looking up into the trees.
Dad had booked a campsite for the night, with ready-made tents, for an adventure! They were actually luxury tents, within walking distance of some famous rocks and other places we hoped to visit. However, Dad also said the sounds of wild creatures would help us sleep. (5). So I was embarrassed by my fears, and kept awake by the frogs! But we had fun making meals together - we'd brought food, as we knew there'd be nowhere to eat.
In fact, this whole trip was fantastic!

My family and I went to Australia to see my grandparents last year. But before the visit, we went sightseeing along the Great Ocean Road, on the Australian coast.
Dad had intended to drive, but even though he was used to driving miles without getting exhausted, he then read on the website that the road wouldn't be an easy drive, with a number of sharp bends. So instead, we persuaded him to book discount bus tickets and off we went.
Our first stop was where wild kangaroos lived, and Dad and I were taking a walk when a big one appeared! For a moment, it seemed to consider coming towards us, which made me slightly nervous, but then it went off into the bushes. Although it was with us a while, I was so excited I didn't even manage to pull out my camera.
That wasn't the only wildlife we saw. I thought it’d be hard to see Australia's famous koala bears during our short visit, as I'd heard they were rare, but we weren't disappointed at our next stop. In fact, they looked cute and were easy to find. We just followed the tourists looking up into the trees.

Tôi và gia đình đã đến Úc để thăm ông bà vào năm ngoái. Nhưng trước chuyến thăm đó, chúng tôi đã đi ngắm cảnh dọc theo cung đường Great Ocean Road, nằm trên bờ biển nước Úc.
Bố tôi đã định tự lái xe, nhưng dù ông đã quen với việc lái xe hàng dặm mà không thấy kiệt sức, sau đó ông đọc được trên trang web rằng con đường này sẽ không dễ lái chút nào vì có rất nhiều khúc cua gắt. Vì vậy tôi thấy xấu hổ về nỗi sợ của mình, và bị thức giấc bởi những chú ếch! Nhưng chúng tôi đã có khoảng thời gian vui vẻ khi cùng nhau chuẩn bị bữa ăn — chúng tôi đã mang theo thức ăn vì biết rằng ở đó sẽ không có chỗ nào để ăn uống cả.
Thực sự, toàn bộ chuyến đi này vô cùng tuyệt vời!
