Rosalind Franklin played a crucial role in advancing the study of DNA, yet her contribution was not fully acknowledged during her lifetime. (1) many of her male contemporaries received public acclaim, Franklin’s work was often overshadowed, partly due to the academic culture of the time. (2) on X-ray diffraction, she produced remarkably clear images that provided key evidence for the structure of DNA.
