Mai is growing up in a large extended family. She lives with her parents, grandad, aunt, and cousins. Each member has a different timetable, so they need to be careful not to disturb the others. Her granddad usually gets up early and waters the garden. Her parents and aunt get up at around half past six to prepare for work. Mai and her cousins share a room, so they wake up, have breakfast, and go to school together.
