V. Read the following and do as directed.
While many people may not understand “Industry 4.0” and other technological changes, they are having a huge impact on almost every aspect of our lives. In the workplace, technology has improved efficiency and productivity of our work. Since the Third Industrial Revolution which began which dates back to the 1970, numerous routine and repetitive tasks have been conducted automatically without human assistance so that employees are freed up to focus on more important and creative tasks. Advanced software and tools facilitate the practice of working from home. Video conferencing platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams make it possible to collaborate across continents in real-time without having worries about geographical distances. This flexibility, therefore, has opened up opportunities for companies to hire the best talent regardless of their geographical locations.
Additionally, the advent of the internet has brought about drastic changes in communicative methods. Through social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, we can not only make friends with people having common interests around the world, but also keep in touch with distant relatives and friends, as well as stay informed about global events. This gives rise to new forms of social interaction and community-building where everyone can interact, share experiences and build networks.
When it comes to how we travel around the city, ride-hailing apps are of great benefit. Apps like GoJek, GrabBike and Xanh SM allow users to book motorbike taxis through their smartphones, view fare estimates and track the arrival of their driver in real-time. These services really offer a convenient, efficient and often cost-effective way to travel in congested urban areas, compared to traditional motorbike taxis.
